Today I didn’t feel very good at work… I think just a combination of snow, not enough sleep last night, and this pointless 10 am morning meeting. Really this type of meeting — too early for me… just destroys my whole day. This manager of mine (actually the manager of my manager) — he’s wasted 3 meetings giving us the exact same information. Does he ever think how costly this is?

1 month ago he tried to have this meeting, but gave up with phone problems after wasting 30 minutes. A week later he had the meeting again, an one hour meeting — but he felt rushed, for he had to leave exactly after an hour. Today he covered exactly the same info he covered 2 weeks ago — except this time he did it in 40 minutes instead of an hour (skipping some of the material)… He thought it would take him 10 minutes for the review. And now had some time for questions. With better planning… does he realize how much time he wasted by taking twice as much time as necessary!! He’s a great talker though and also has great thoughts.

Oh well… I’m not sure how long I’ll be able to work for these new managers, for they seem to bring a lot of stress with me. After 2 1/2 days filled with too much meetings and talking — it just completely exhausts me and makes it hard for me to accomplish much in the second half of the week.

Ok… rant off… breath…. in…. out… exhale…

Hello my friend. I was a bit worried that I might miss the last subway train, but I made it. I rushed and left my desk at 1:05 am… the last train is around 1:30 am. I had to take the streetcar first to the train, but I made it.

Downtown there is a light dusting of snow tonight, but not too much… but Mia said the home is barried under a lot of snow, so I’ll have to shovel it again when I get home. At least tomorrow I have no meetings scheduled, so I can sleep in and get to work whenever.

Ouch… this MacBook of mine… the stupid case cuts into my wrists as I type. It seems stupid that Apple makes so many mistakes in their products yet few people complain. I bought Mac OS X 10 when it first came out and it was garbage — very buggy. Things started to stabilize around 10.2 and get better — but I needed to pay money for it again — they never offer upgrades. I kept 10.2 for a long time, skipping 10.3 — and got 10.4 with my current MacBook.

Then I got the first video ipod they made — it was garbage. The videos often freeze on me. The battery is garbage… if I don’t use it everyday, it just refuses to work anymore until I do a few hard reboots and charge it… And the worse part of it — if you touch the screen, it scratches. Apple is quite bad this way — releasing products long before they’re ready. They look great, but they are not meant to last. I remember — I bought the Newton when it came out… and it was complete garbage too. It relied on hand-writing recognition, but it just didn’t work.

And now this MacBook of mine. The nice white case is getting very dirty — marks on the monitor side of the case… like maybe there’s magnets or something inside… just a terrible design. And the worse part — the screen gets scratched by the keyboard! If I carry the MacBook in my laptop back — and if it’s tightly packed… the keyboard has scratched the screen. Again… just a terrible design.

True… Apple stuff looks great… but it’s overpriced and looks great when new… but after being used, it doesn’t work that well. People seem to love the new iPhone — but I just don’t trust Apple stuff… they’re never as good as they seem.

Sorry… I’m just in a tired and bit of a complaining type mood tonight. I’m at home now and on my way to bed.

Oh… and tonight I grabbed a bunch of twitter ids. I got SexualRiver, SensualRiver, and LoveRon — all to go with the new domain names I got. Plus one for my real name too. It’s really amazing how Twitter is taking off, as I often hear about it on the news. So, I want to make sure I get the names to go with my sites.

And I’m making some progress with SensualRiver.com (or SexualRiver.com — what do you prefer?). I installed another Wordpress database for it… actually quite easy using Godaddy. So I can have a separate theme for it. That’s one reason I almost missed my subway train — as I was discovering a lot of Adult wordpress themes out there. So, I’m thinking it will come together very nicely.

That was a big problem with my MiaRon.com site — it was just too hard to update. I was manually editing the html — and it just became too time consuming and error prone to add more videos and pages.

Now that I’ve discovered Wordpress, it should all get much better… wish me luck…

Ohh… but I’m finding that my nuderiver.com site is getting too slow now… I need to figure out why.
